Dear Reader,
2008 has heralded an exciting period for TCF. We are very happy to share with our global family that in more than 60 areas across Pakistan, TCF has made 530 school units operational for 65, 000 deserving girls and boys! As highlighted in this issue, this burgeoning expansion is coupled with new ventures and strengthening of ties with our gracious supporters and donors.
Students graduating from TCF continue to make us proud. A former TCF student, scored A+ grade in part I of her Intermediate. Two former TCF students were selected by Citibank for a six-week-internship! Similarly, 15 TCF graduates are working with The Resource Group (TRG) – a management and I.T consultancy firm.
It is wonderful news that TCF has been adjudged the winner of 25th ‘Corporate Excellence Award’ in the Non-Profit Social Services Organization Sector by the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP). Since 1982, MAP has been presenting this award to the best managed national companies (see page # 4).
Keeping up with the changing times, TCF has introduced and expanded its presence in the e-world. With official presence on Facebook, Youtube and Wikipedia, the supporter base has increased. We encourage our readers to subscribe to these links and spread the word for the cause. |

Anum Fatima is the first TCF Student who secured 82 % in I.Com (Intermediate in Commerce, part I ). I.Com part II Results are expected in a few months’ time. Currently she is busy preparing for entrance tests in different universities for a BBA Program.
The first one in her family to study beyond Grade X, Anum has set an example for all her younger siblings. She has two brothers and two sisters – all of them attend TCF School – Company, is the sole |

| breadwinner of his family. Anum’s parents are extremely proud of their daughter and feel indebted to TCF for supporting and encouraging all their children. Anum scored 78 % ( A Grade ) in her Matriculation and was easily admitted in the Commerce course offered by one of Karachi’s renowned girls’ colleges, Khatoon-e-Pakistan. |
