TCF Primary School – PARCO Campus and TCF Secondary School – Shirin Sultan Dossa Campus VI, located in Yousuf Goth, Karachi.

In the scorching heat of April 26, about 40 Crescent Team Members, collected at TCF Primary School – Crescent Steel Campus I, in Ibrahim Goth and worked spiritedly to paint five classrooms, library/art room amongst other parts of the building.
 
In April, a 19-year-old student in Karachi, Yousuf Khan, raised donation for TCF by ‘drawing caricatures’ at his college carnival. Yousuf drew 18 caricatures for seven hours straight!
 
TCF welcomed Shell Pakistan’s recently initiated program 'Shell Happy Roads' to its schools. In April and May, eight TCF Primary Schools in Karachi benefited from the interactive road safety session especially designed for young children. Representatives from a Marketing company called 'Heliumm' collaborated with Shell Pakistan Limited to bring about this program.
 
 
TCF Summer Camp 2008 aims at improving the spoken and written English Language Skills of our school children. In July, it is to be held from 1-21 in 15 TCF Schools in Karachi and Lahore. A total of 1,700 TCF Students and around 150 volunteers are participating. A three-day training session of the volunteers was conducted in June.
 
Training plays a vital role in capacity building and it is an integral part of the TCF Education Program. Volunteer Trainers from USA conducted various workshops for the Regional and Head Office

Education Teams. A workshop in Karachi on “Communication, Leadership and Team Building” was conducted by Mr. Irtiza Hasan, Director Touchstone Communications. Another interesting interactive session was conducted by Pamela Morehouse on “Integrating the Curriculum”. Pamela is an educationist and author of the book The Early Childhood Curriculum. Her husband Walter Welles is an experienced teacher and he also assisted her during the week long session in Karachi.

Approximately 30 other capacity building workshops were attended by Education Team at different organizations like Education Resource Development Centre (ERDC), Aga Khan University- Institute of Professional Development (AKU - IED), and Teacher Resource Center (TRC).

As a part of teachers’ professional and personal development , this year again, a Training of Trainers Program (TOT) of 90 hours across TCF was organized in February to train almost 200 trainers.This training was based on a combination of need analysis and latest emerging trends in teaching and learning.These trainers conducted In-service and Pre service sessions in their respective regions. About 122 trainers conducted the Summer In- service Training of 85 hours on 23 venues all across Pakistan to prepare almost 3,000 teachers. About 70 trainers conducted Pre- service Training of 100 hours on 33 venues across Pakistan to prepare 900 teachers.
 
Miss Sobia Naz is Principal of TCF Secondary School –Rubab Kassam Campus, in Tando Allahyar, Interior Sindh. She is the first TCF Principal who was selected to attend a seminar in Warwickshire town, UK.
British Council assessed and selected from Tando Allahyar, four Government schools and the TCF School in May 2008 for affiliation with the British schools. The basic objective was to provide deserving schools the exposure regarding trends of teaching techniques prevalent in UK besides the
