| ILMATHON 2007 |
| |
An exceptionally warm February afternoon in Karachi didn’t deter the huge crowds gathered for TCF's annual walk-a-thon: ILMATHON 2007. Organized by the Pakistan-based Supporters of TCF (STCF), ILMATHON has become a much anticipated event over the past 3 years. This year STCF approached nearly 40 private schools and distributed over 10,000 walker forms to encourage participation in the walk.
ILMATHON 2007 witnessed a great turn-out, led by Corps Commander Lt. General Ahsan Azhar Hayat and his wife who also presented a donation cheque to TCF.
Amongst the many private schools and institutions who had chosen to walk for TCF, 500 students from TCF schools also participated, proudly waving the Pakistani flag. |
Fun treats awaited the participants at the end of the walk at the vibrant Mauj Mela, with games and various

stalls of food and beverages, a Health Spa, pottery and various other products. The festivities continued well into the night. |

| The Magic of Story-telling |
| |
In bygone eras, there used to be special dastaan go's (story-tellers) who used to narrate never-ending tales. With time though, story-telling has dwindled into a lost art.
A group of talented young performers from India, Mahmood Farooqui and Danish Hussain along with independent filmmaker Anousha Rizvi have revived this art by presenting shows to packed houses. Recently, this brilliant group shared the magic of Tilism-e-Hoshruba for Pakistani audiences |

in a chain of evenings organized by STCF to raise funds.
Anousha Rizvi, the Executive Producer used minimal props like crystal lanterns and silverware to create the ambience of old-world-charm on the stage in every show. The real imagery was created each time Mahmood and Danish took their place, and deftly captured the
imagination of their Pakistani fans in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
